Price Matching and why we don't do it

We seem to be getting an influx of price matching requests recently, while this is answered on our FAQ, I thought I would take the time to elaborate on why the answer to this question will always be no.


- I can not guarantee that they have the same quality of workmanship. When you go to a fancy high end restaurant, you don't expect to get your meal for the same price as a Big Mac at McDonald's, a premium service comes with a price.


- We achieve the results we do, because we have years of experience, product knowledge and we work with some of the best brands in the market, I can’t guarantee they have the same experience, use the same quality of products or that they can achieve the same results.


- I’ve built our packages, specifically for the certain types of bookings we have.I've listened to feedback from our customers and developed our detailing packages over several years to ensure we offer the best packages for our customers. I’ve listed each step in the process so you can see exactly what we do and the processes we follow to ensure we use the safest products and techniques possible.


- I can’t guarantee the people you want me to price match have the same attention to detail and aren’t cutting corners so they can be the cheapest on the market. If I detailing package following the same steps is a fraction of the cost and takes an hour, I can ensure you that they are cutting corners, missing out important steps and using harsh chemicals which will cause problems for your vehicles paint work in the future.


I'm in this game to offer the best detailing service possible, so Im not interested in being in a competition for the cheapest.


Our prices are dependent on Vehicle condition and size, as you can imagine a filthy car is going to take a considerable amount of time and product compared to one that is regularly maintained. So a 'one price fits all' price list does work which it is important that photographs and correct information is available when you ask for a price.


Having this kind of price structure ensures I make money, cover all expenses needed while still having competitive prices and providing a premium service for my customers.


If we don’t fit into your price range, that’s fine. In some cases I’ll happily work to a budget (within reason) but it won’t devalue my work and lose money, so you can have a premium package for pennies.


If your enquiring about a price from a small business, with clearly outlined prices with lots of information, before you ask them to price match another business who’s sales tactic is to be the cheapest, ask yourself what are they missing out so they can be so cheap?
